Duunitori, a leading Finnish recruiting company with a popular recruitment and job search platform (Duunitori.fi), found itself in need of additional space to accommodate its expanding workforce. The company identified a suitable space in a newly constructed building in the vibrant district of Hakaniemi, the renovation of which was completed in the spring of 2023.
The development presented a possibility for Duunitori to pursue building tailored facilities that would perfectly align with their business’s evolving requirements. Nádor + Nádor was commissioned to design the new facilities, with a focus on insights collected through collaborative efforts, including staff surveys and online workshops.

Birchwood and concrete blocks have been integral to Duunitori's previous office aesthetics. Now, as Duunitori has matured, the task was to incorporate these same elements into their new space in a more refined manner. In the new workspace, birch veneer is featured extensively, both in custom built-in furniture as well as loose furniture, doors, and glass wall elements. Some parts of the building's exterior walls were intentionally left unfinished, allowing the raw concrete surface to be visible adding a touch of ruggedness to the new office building.
All of the existing loose furniture and potted plants were repurposed within the new office environment, with a focus on maximizing the use of local loose furniture suppliers for any new items needed. The custom-built-in furniture was crafted by a local carpenter.
